Residential Youth Worker

• Provide compassionate care to Children and Young People under the care of the Department of Child Safety
• Provide support to Children and Young People when they display complex behaviours 
• Maintain a clean and hygienic living environment
• Compile detailed case notes on a database system using literacy and IT skills
• Flexibility to work a 24 hour roster including: evenings, nights, mornings, weekends and sleepover shifts

As a Residential Youth Worker, you will contribute to our mission by providing exceptional care and support to the children and young people in our care.

As a Residential Youth Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. You will receive comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality support. You are a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people. You have the ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in challenging situations. You are highly organised with excellent observation and domestic skills. You possess strong literacy and IT skills to compile detailed case notes on a database system. You are flexible and willing to work various shifts including evenings, nights, mornings and weekends.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to successfully complete a 5 day (paid) pre-selection training program in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Transforming Care scheduled to be delivered in Kingaroy (1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 July 2024) as part of the recruitment process.
