Position: Residential Care Youth Worker - Contractor Position
Responsibilities as a contractor:
- Develop strong and supportive relationships with the youth in our care, acting as a positive role model and mentor.
- Create and maintain a safe and nurturing living environment within our residential facilities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of personalized care plans for each resident, addressing their unique needs and goals.
- Provide meal preparation for residents, ensuring their dietary requirements are met with nutritious and balanced meals.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to youth, helping them build essential life skills and coping mechanisms.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for the residents.
- Plan and participate in recreational activities, educational programs, and cultural events to promote social and emotional growth.
Requirements:
- Genuine passion for working with youth and making a difference in their lives.
- LCS2 Child safety and child history screening check (we will help obtain this)
- Minimum Cert IV Community Services.
- Current First Aid.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for transporting youth and attending off-site activities.
- Blue Card (or working with children check) to ensure compliance with child safety standards.
- Must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or the ability to obtain one.
