Respiratory Scientist

Qualifications & experience

-A tertiary degree in health science or Applied Science or equivalent – Experience with Medisoft lung function testing instrumentation or similar software.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Breathe Ease is a respiratory and sleep practice located at Upper Mount Gravatt. A fully equipped lung function lab is on-site. We are looking for a Respiratory Scientist with at least 1 year experience. The position is permanent part-time, working on Fridays with a scope to increase. The successful candidate will require to work Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays (3 days per week) from April 10 to mid May 24
• He/she will be required to perform independently: - Full lung function test( spirometry, DLCO and static lung volumes) - haemoglobin skin prick testing, etc -Bronchial provocation test -Maximal inspiratory and Expiratory pressures (MIPs and MEPs) -Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO)
• You may be required to do home sleep study set ups
• You may require to record ECG (resting)
• Will need to perform duties related to the running and maintenance of the lab and calibration
