Job Description
The Queens Hotel Gladstone has a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, "hands-on" leader with a guest-focused approach to exceed guest expectations.
As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Restaurants. You will work closely with the front-of-house staff to inspire and develop our team while maintaining our high standards of food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, run, and control the operational floor of the restaurant according to business demand
- Set, implement, and review service standards to ensure consistent quality
- Conduct training, performance evaluations, and counselling of staff
- Recruit and select team members who align with our standards and values
- Efficiently manage rosters and costs to optimise operations
- Review guest feedback, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes
- Ensure WH&S and sustainability commitments are upheld within the department
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Knowledge of Open Table Booking Platform
Qualifications
- Proven experience in leading and managing a successful team in a high-volume restaurant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks, multitask, and work effectively in a team environment
- Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, initiative, and the ability to think creatively
- Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills
- Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
