Our menu is based around the principles of foraging, sourcing the highest quality produce possible and “made from scratch”. Our kitchen respects and highlights regional and estate grown produce, whilst fostering the ethos of sharing and kinship. We work with seasonal produce, where possible from our kitchen garden, we also support local businesses and have contract growers who are working with us towards our goals of zero waste. We showcase fresh and seasonal flavours, with a focus on creating dishes that complement the Polperro and Even Keel wines.

We are seeking two highly motivated and experienced professionals , Restaurant Supervisor and Bar attendant to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant and work within our C`tail & wine bar . The ideal Restaurant Supervisor candidates will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, managing and training a team, and ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant with the support of our Restaurant Manager.
The Bar professional will have a passion for high quality C`tails , good wine knowledge and love operating a fast paced bar focused on servicing our local community and visiting guests.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the restaurant staff
- Ensure that all guests receive exceptional customer service and that their needs are met promptly
- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling
- Recruit , train and develop staff members to ensure that they are knowledgeable about the menu, service standards, and company policies
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, including the dining area, outside courtyard and storage areas
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to improve the restaurant's performance and profitability
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the restaurant industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail service RSA
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holiday
- Salary : Depending on the experience of the successful candidate
