Job Description:
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of Hello Kitchen & Home? We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Buyer to join our expanding team. As our Retail Buyer, you will be entrusted with the essential task of curating our merchandise selection, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of our discerning customers while aligning with our brand's values and profitability objectives. Your responsibilities will span from conducting market research and negotiating with suppliers to managing inventory and driving sales growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and participate in exhibitions to understand retail and wholesale markets.
- Negotiate with suppliers in Australia, China, Japan, and other countries to select products, negotiate contracts, and arrange procurement-related logistics.
- Manage inventory for both wholesale and retail operations through our ERP system, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
- Handle quality feedback related to purchased goods and monitor product quality to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Develop purchasing and inventory plans based on sales data and apply for purchasing budgets.
- Analyse the impact of purchasing decisions on the company's profitability and make recommendations for improvement.
- Working with the new product development team to introduce new products and begin the development process.
Skill Requirement
- Diploma or higher qualifications in Business, Management, Merchandise Planning or other related fields.
- Proven 2-year experience in retail purchasing or related roles.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with retail regulations and compliance standards.
- Keen attention to detail and a knack for market analysis.
- Proficiency in data analysis and inventory management software.
- Competent knowledge in kitchen and houseware product.
