The Retail Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights into retail operations, store performance, consumer behavior, and market trends. You will be the conduit between the field agency (Cheil) and Samsung and will help the National Program Manager implement the Samsung direction, action plan and business requirements.
This role plays a crucial part in supporting data-driven decision-making within the organization, contributing to the enhancement of sales strategies, inventory management, and overall retail performance.
What you’ll be doing?
- Collect and clean data from various sources, including but not limited to sales, sell-in and sell-out, Field Team provided data, and inventory records.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that can inform retail strategies and optimize business performance.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, leadership, and operations, to support data-driven decision-making and improve overall business efficiency.
- Develop and maintain predictive models and forecasting tools to anticipate demand, optimize inventory levels, and enhance supply chain management.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats within the retail landscape.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative data solutions for retail analytics.
- Present findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner, fostering a data-driven culture within the organisation.
About You:
- Degree qualified in project management, data, analytics of related field is highly desired
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel, VBA, Macros
- The ability to learn new purpose built systems, and experience using Smartsheet.
- Demonstrated experience in reporting, data analysis and extracting insights
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Experience in coordinating external agencies, ideally in the retail field
- Interpersonal abilities are imperative within the role as relationship building and management are high priorities
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently and autonomously
