Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring sales goals and profitability targets are met.
- Maintain high standards of store presentation, including product displays of Indian groceries, fresh produce, spices, and packaged foods.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring timely restocking of popular items.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop supermarket staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and set goals for staff.
- Ensure outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, collaborating with the marketing team on promotional activities tailored to Indian grocery products.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and improve store performance.
- Monitor competitors and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and manage the store budget, monitor financial performance, and implement cost control measures.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure a consistent and diverse inventory of Indian groceries and specialty products.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the grocery or supermarket industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and improving store performance.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in using retail management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of Indian groceries and products is highly desirable.
