About the opportunity 

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.  

Role Details:

• Permanent Part Time, 12 hours per week between Monday to Friday 7:00am - 10:00am
• Supportive on the job training for the first 12 weeks
• Hourly rate of $26.00 per hour, increasing to $29.74 per hour after training (Junior rates apply during training for those under 21)
• Potential for additional customer service relief duties

You’ll be: 

• Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace
• Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes 
• Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance
• Assisting with some PSO duties on the counter

About you

You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously. You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community. You'll also need to:

• Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting  
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift
