Flight Store Pty Ltd is currently seeking applications for a responsible and highly motivated Sales Associate / Aviation Product Specialist for our well-established aviation products and pilot supply business based in Ormeau Qld.
Flight Store is a growth company with an established customer base that services national and international aviation professionals through our shop and online store. We are looking to bring on an additional team member who has Customer Service and sales experience and a great attitude to work!
The Position
This role requires applicants who are available for a full-time position – Ormeau Based - Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
If successful you will be working in a happy, professional, and modern, air-conditioned showroom office environment where attention to detail and working unsupervised is essential.
The position includes following up on Customer Service phone calls, serving in-store and processing sales. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Customer Service role, experience with aircraft or aviation products, conduct themselves professionally and uphold the standards of Flight Store.
Responsibilities and DutiesA high knowledge of GA-General Aviation and Helicopter aircraft communications equipment and Aviation Portable GPS is necessary for the role. Also, the role requires being well versed with CASA regulations and documents, flight training manuals and equipment as well as providing Electronic Flight Bag cockpit mounting solutions across a broad range of aircraft types.
Day-to-day duties include Sales and Customer Service tasks such as welcoming clients, providing product assistance with customers on the phone, making recommendations, answering questions, as well as demonstrating and explaining aviation products and equipment.
As a high degree of interaction with customers is required, a strong focus on interpersonal skills and communication is essential. A dedication to Customer Service and the ability to understand and explain products is vital, also, understanding our customers’ needs and providing Aircraft Specific Product Solutions. Friendliness, approachability, and an outgoing personality are big bonuses.
Other daily duties include responding to emails, preparing online customer orders, phone sales, operating cash registers and merchandising the shop.
Job Responsibilities- Greet guests as they enter the shop, ask whether they would like assistance and provide help when needed in a hospitable, friendly, and efficient manner
- Provide excellent Customer Service, ensure ongoing sales, deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
- Provide recommendations based on customer’s preferences, needs and desires – provide the right product solution to suit individual aircraft or pilot requirements
- Develop and cultivate strong buying relationships with new and existing clients
- Remain knowledgeable, answer questions related to products, sales, promotions, and store policy
- Use brand / company literature as well as training resources to stay up to date on product features and use
- Follow up and answer emails for all sales enquiries and orders
- Use NETO Ecommerce software to process orders and manage customer accounts
- Operate a POS Cash Register and perform related tasks, including cash handling and processing credit cards
- Daily opening and closing of the register
- Straighten, arrange stock and dust off merchandise, maintain shelving areas as required
- Assist in ensuring the shop and office areas are clean and organized
- Locate merchandise in warehouse for customers, place special orders when necessary
- Process returns, handle refunds and exchanges with a focus on timeliness and Customer Service
Required:
- High School Grade 12 or Tertiary Qualification
- Aptitude for a highly technical role in avaition
- Experience in Sales or similar Customer Service role
- Friendly, outgoing demeanour with a strong commitment to Customer Service
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Ability to express oneself clearly and confidently when making sales
- Strong work ethic, calm professional demeanour
- Basic computer skills, Windows and/or Mac based platforms
Preferred:
- Experience in the Aviation Industry and/or products
- Qualified Pilot CPL / PPL / RPL Licence Holder will be considered in high regard
- Experience with NETO E-commerce software
- A passion for flying and all things aviation
