Retail Security Team Member

We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced Security Team Member to join our team at our premier retail site: Melbourne Central Shopping Centre. located in Melbourne's CBD

Public transport is available onsite with a train station on the ground floor. There is also access to several different tram routes just outside the centre.

Please be advised this role requires Full Working Rights in Australia.

The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence on-site whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer-focused team. 

Work hours are as follows: 

4 days on day shift and 4 days on Night Shift - Rotating Roster.

Key Responsibilities:

• Previous experience in Retail Security (Preferred)
• Protection of the premises, employees, contractor, and visitors
• Confident interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
• General security duties including administration tasks
• Ability to respond to emergency situations
• Respond to critical incidents and simultaneously prepare written reports
• Interact with key stakeholders including building management, emergency services, client representatives and follow Team Members via the correct communication device

To succeed in this role you will need:

• Hold a valid Victorian Security License & First Aid Certificate
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with key stakeholders 
• Warm and empathetic nature with a strong customer service focus and the ability to manage a variety of high-pressure situations
