ABOUT THE ROLE
Passionate about eco-friendly shopping and community impact? Chandler Macleod is supporting our Not-For-Profit client in Tamworth, who has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive Retail Shop Manager who can work in a diverse environment, supervise and train volunteers, and work in conjunction with supportive upper management to streamline business. The store is well-established within the community and has a solid track record of sales, particularly with clothing and accessories, books and homewares. The client loves creativity and passion, the role is the perfect opportunity to express your own vision.
- As the Retail Shop Manager, you will have a passion for fashion and charity retail, with a flare for visual merchandising. You will engage customers with friendly and helpful customer service and be an integral part in developing new ideas to make op-shopping exciting.
- In this hands-on role, you will showcase your style and flare by ensuring stock is selected, merchandised and priced accordingly.
- You will be encouraged to share and implement your ideas to grow sales, while managing the shop budget to bring in much needed funds to support our frontline services.
- This is a permanent full-time position working a 38 hour week. You will be required to work a monthly roster of one Saturday and one Sunday *not consecutively* per month. These shifts attract the appropriate penalty rates.
ABOUT YOU
- Have significant experience in retail management and processes, including excellent customer service, merchandising, staffing and maximising of sales and revenue.
- Have a track record of managing shop budgets through proactive revenue growth and cost management efficiencies, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Build an effective team by leading and managing volunteers; identify clear work functions and monitor performance against organisational objectives.
