Mooloolaba Fish Market is the Sunshine Coasts largest seafood retail offering the biggest range of fresh and cooked seafood to the public. We offer local wild caught seafood unloaded fresh daily from our wharf direct to the public in our retail so you can enjoy the very best seafood the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
Reporting directly to the Retail Manager, we are looking for motivated, enthusiastic Shift Supervisor to join our friendly team on Full-time basis to work in an energetic environment. You will need to have had previous Supervisory experience at this level in a hands-on role including engaging staff, rostering, stock control, and budgeting. This position requires enthusiasm and desire to run the store from your heart, good floor skills around seafood and service, and your ability to make a difference.
Your day-to-day routine will look something like this:
- Assisting staff with the day to day running of the shift/business
- Excellent customer service and smiling always even under pressure.
- Inventory management and general stock control including ordering and Replenishment.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure daily pre-start inspections of store and machinery.
- Ability to achieve targets and maintain controllable costs
- Continuous training and development of new and existing staff
- Compliance with OH&S regulations
- Liaising with suppliers
All about you:
- A minimum of 2-5 years experience as Shift Manager or 2IC within Seafood/Hospitality/ Retail industry is preferred not essential.
- Previous experience in the seafood industry is an advantage.
- Passionate about providing high standards of food service.
- Great team leadership and coaching skills
- An energetic and vibrant personality
- Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills
- Must be flexible to work Weekends, Public Holidays & evening shifts
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
