About the role
This position is a newly created one that will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Council’s brand-new Return & Earn Automated Depot in Moama NSW. This role facilitates the automated public drop off point for containers eligible for the 10c rebate as part of the state governments Return & Earn scheme rolled out in 2017 across NSW. This role is a customer service-based role that includes operating a forklift and ensuring the site and equipment is maintained in a fit for purpose state, is kept clean and tidy and complies with safety requirements.
What you need to be successful:
• Current Manual Driver’s Licence
• Current Forklift (High Risk Work) Licence
• Suitable level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate, with a wide range of community members and stakeholders; and establish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal customers across all levels of Council and external customers.
Desirable/willingness to obtain:
• Experience working in a warehouse or waste facility.
• Experience working with a computer and Point of Sale (POS) system.
