Overview
Your Role
Life at GB is an adventure – often fast paced, unpredictable, challenging and deeply rewarding. The Return to Work Assistant role is responsible for early intervention process such as claims lodgement and notification, ensuring the relevant insurer has access to the information required to process the claim.
You will work with the Insurer in regards to wage calculations and advise the Payroll Team of workers compensation payments and entitlement, submitting details of payments to insurers for reimbursement and reconciling reimbursement on injury management systems.
This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis with a flexible hybrid approach with working in our Brisbane CBD office and WFH.
How you'll make an impact
You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following:
- Ensure medical certificates, invoices and documentation are uploaded, recorded and appropriately allocated in a timely manner
- Provide administrative support to the Community, Employee Wellbeing & Safety Team for mail outs and promotional campaigns
- Assist the team with RTW planning and non-work related illness management
- Notify Workers Compensation Insurers as stipulated by legislation
- Gather and lodge Work Cover claims forms and certificates to the relevant insurer
- Provide the insurer with payroll and personal information as requested as part of the claim’s investigation
- Coordinate external investigations for Workers Compensation claims
- Provide the insurer with incident investigation information as requested
- Support he team with Early Intervention action or training
- Develop and maintain a list of current and potential workers compensation payments in such a manner that ensures valid weekly payments are identified and the status of pending claims is known
- Work with and provide information to Payroll in such a manner that they will make accurate and timely compensation payment
About you
We’re interested in hearing from people who possess:
- Recent work experience within workers compensation claims
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation
- Strong administration experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a team player attitude
- Exceptional time management and organisation skills
- Experience working within a dynamic fast paced environment
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or related discipline is desirable
