The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a part-time Revenue Assistant to join our Finance team. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in all revenue activities and the effective operation of and continued improvement of Council's revenue and property information systems by ensuring systems are maintained accurately and efficiently.
The incumbent will also be required to assist in the undertaking of necessary debt recovery actions with a view to prompt and timely collection of outstanding debts in accordance with Council’s adopted Debt Collection Policies and Procedures.
Criteria
- Completion of Year 12 High School Certificate or relevant higher-level qualifications.
- Extensive demonstrated experience in an office environment within the areas of Finance, administration, and customer service.
- A current and valid class "C" driver's licence.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and experience of local government revenue and property information systems.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced user of a range of software packages.
- Demonstrated highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government State Award and Council’s policies and conditions of employment. The salary will be within the range of $35.85 to $39.58 per hour plus standard allowances, depending on qualifications, experience and skills.
