About the Project
McConnell Dowell Constructors Aust. Pty Ltd are seeking Mechanical Fitters to join this unique green energy project located in Kidston, North QLD. The Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro project is the first of its kind in Australia in more than 40 years and will be the country’s third-biggest electricity storage facility.
This is a FIFO position from Cairns, Townsville and Brisbane working a 2:1 roster:
- 12-hour days with paid travel time;
- Camp accommodation and flights from Townsville, Cairns and Brisbane;
- Camp has Wet Mess, Gym, Games Room, Tennis and Basketball Courts;
- Multiple positions available.
- Australian recognised training and High Risk Work License.
- High level of experience on substantial infrastructure projects.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and the wellbeing of team mates.
- Respect for others in the workplace as a key personal value.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proven history working in the industry, preferably based in North Queensland.
