About your new role
Reporting to the Head of Risk we are seeking experienced Risk Advisors to join our Queensland based team in our Brisbane office. You will provide support to The Star Entertainment Groups risk function and different business operations to deliver improvement milestones and improved Risk Management Frameworks. In addition, you will support the development of risk reports to enhance risk identification and management and ensure that risk assessments on significant business opportunities and changes are being conducted and that our risk registers are regularly reviewed and updated.
Providing risk expertise across the organisation, you will support the identification, assessment and monitoring of risk and control activities and partner with the business to embed associated policies and procedures. As a subject matter expert, you will assist with the creation of training programs and workshops, providing support to risk owners and assisting them to define and manage risk as well as providing support to meet remediation milestones.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in a high regulated environment such as the casino or gaming industry or professional services is highly regarded.
- Previous risk management, advisory or consulting experience and experience in risk standards, guidelines and practices is desirable
- A strong understanding of risk management frameworks, concepts, and tools
- The ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders is essential
- A proven track record of prioritising effectively to meet deadlines and an ability to adapt to changing business needs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is highly desirable
