The Company
Crucial Insurance is an award-winning risk and insurance advisory business servicing clients Australia wide. We specialise in advising medium to large businesses about their key risks so they can make informed decisions about investing in insurance protection.
We work with clients all around Australia and enjoy strong trading relationships with insurer partners both in Australia and London. A large part of our portfolio is placed directly into Lloyd's and this role will be working with our London broking team on complex risks being placed into London.
The business has seen significant revenue growth over the past year and is looking to bring on and develop more top talent. This is a career-building opportunity for an experienced candidate seeking progression.
The Role
As the Account Executive, supporting the Account Manager and Managing Director, you will:
- Be responsible for servicing a portfolio of SME clients including day to day servicing, renewals, endorsements
- Be responsible for responding to SME new business enquiries and work with our senior broking team to ensure we provide the best available solution
- Provide support to senior brokers on corporate advisory clients including assistance with renewal review meetings, business interruption calculations, risk review reports, preparation of renewal reports and insurance manuals
- Provide support to senior brokers on complex accounts including major ISR, Liability and Professional Indemnity placements.
- Engage with insurers in Australia and overseas to deliver the most competitive value for our clients
- Manage claims and negotiate with insurers to ensure the best outcome for our clients
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will be ASIC RG146 Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) qualified or equivalent and have: -
- Ideally 3 years experience in general/commercial insurance
- Demonstrated product knowledge across main lines including Home & Landlords, Private & Commercial Motor, Business Pack and SME insurance lines.
- Core skills around MS Office – Knowledge of Excel & Word is ideal.
- Experience in INSIGHT, Steadfast and Officetech software is preferred
