Job Title: Risk  and Assurance Lead

 

Role Type: 12 month Secondment/Fixed term

Under the APRA Plan arrangements ANZ is committed to ensuring that the planned actions are designed effectively and are sustainably embedded to ensure the issues, risks, concerns giving rise to the need for the Actions are addressed. Closure Point 2 is designed to achieve this objective. The scope of the dedicated CP2 team’s work is defined in the CP2 Playbook and includes executing post implementation reviews to assess the design, sustainability and operating effectiveness of remediation delivered.

 

The role of the Risk and Assurance Lead is to lead a team in the provision of post implementation reviews to support the Commercial business in delivering the APRA Remediation Program. This includes the concept of Sustainable Outcomes by Design (“SBD”) which has been developed by CP2 and it under Test and Learn conditions. In some cases, for inflight initiatives, SBD concepts and emerging practices may be applied.

 

The scope of the Actions covered by the dedicated CP2 team, is currently limited to the APRA Plans.

What will your day look like

This role is accountable for:

  • Scope, execution, and communicating effectiveness testing in line with the CP2 Playbook, SBD emerging practices and CP2 team objectives.
  • Providing day to day leadership, coaching, development, and oversight to at least 1 direct report.
  • Liaising efficiently and on a timely basis with stakeholders to execute/review testing procedures, communicate outcomes to key stakeholders (verbally and written).
  • Collaborating with broader team members, as required, to share learnings and expertise.
  • Providing pragmatic and commercial risk management perspectives and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

What will you bring?

  • Ability to understand end to end processes and identify risks, risk causes and optimal controls.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence & negotiate change
  • Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional & risk based manner
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills for ensuring problems, root causes leading to actions are understood, including the ability to efficiently synthesize information to determine relevance.
  • Collaborating and influencing business teams to achieve optimal business and customer outcomes (for example SBD).
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills for addressing senior level, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong, clear documentation skills and business report writing to ensure adherence to CP2 Methodology.
  • Conducting research of better practices across the industry.
  • Evaluating customer and commercial impact at varying levels of rigor.
  • Ability to manage multiple actions/projects efficiently and within expected timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Demonstrated Experience in Risk Management
  • Understanding of Risk Management Principles
