Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million+ personal and small business customers.
Within RBS, the Guidance and Investing, and Wealth Partnerships teams are responsible for the strategy, operations, and distribution of the Bank’s wealth products through its various retail channels to protect, secure and enhance the financial wellbeing of our customers.
Your team is part of the Guidance and Investing, and Wealth Partnerships team which provides support to enable the distribution of Life Insurance, General Insurance, and Superannuation products and Simple Investing products. You will report to the Chapter Lead Wealth and Private Risk Fundamentals.

As a member of the Guidance and Investing, and Wealth Partnerships team you will be responsible for supporting the Retail Wealth team in quality and control. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the guidance and investing, and wealth partnerships business in the development of risk strategies, and procedures to ensure operation within risk appetite.
• Identifying, tracking, and monitoring of incidents/issues, their impacts and facilitating timely resolution.
• Liaising and collaborating with internal/external business stakeholders and partners to effectively review, monitor and manage the current and emerging risks of the portfolio.
• Protecting our customers by implementing initiatives which improve how risk decisions are made to promote the best customer outcome, including through the design and development of controls.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage deliverables across multiple products.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

• Proven experience in risk and control advisory, governance, compliance, or similar;
• Developed insights that demonstrate a broad understanding of the business context and priorities;
• A strong risk mindset and can contribute to the growth of the business whilst providing strong recommendations for reducing potential risk exposure to enable problem-solving and decision-making for the Leadership Team;
• Experience in Retail banking, product management or wealth/insurance; and
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
