The Role
Reporting to the Head of Risk – Investment Platforms, you will play a key Line 2 risk role to achieve Insignia Financial’s objectives in a safe, secure and compliant manner. This role has an Investment Platforms focus for non-superannuation wraps and master trusts across the Insignia Financial group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and provision of effective Line 2 review and challenge across Insignia’s Investment Platforms business (non-superannuation)
- Proactive identification and communication of risks both present and emerging
- Leadership and provision of thoughtful risk management advice that considers commercial objectives aligned to risk frameworks and risk appetite
- Line 2 oversight and influence of business planning activities relating to Investment Platforms
- Cultivating and fostering enduring relationships with business colleagues
- Promote improved risk management discussions and outcomes through judgement, influence and engagement
- Work fluently across other Risk Management functions in order to have end-to-end visibility, working closely with Risk Management colleagues aligned to superannuation platforms
- Key contributor in the reporting process to RE/IDPS boards.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within the Financial Services sector
- Deep knowledge of risk and compliance principles and frameworks
- Strong understanding of IDPS regulatory requirements
- Risk exposure or direct experience relating to developing and operating IDPS custodial, transactional and reporting services
- Proven experience related to financial product or risk-specific roles
- Ability to execute activities efficiently and pragmatically
- The ability to exercise sound judgment and problem solve in a complex environment
- Strong analytical, verbal and report writing skills
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Commerce, Law or a related discipline
