About the role

With an emphasis on excelling in customer service you will be accountable for 3rd party access to and impact on road, footpath, cycling and stormwater infrastructure. You will ensure the proper oversight of road occupancy, road opening and restoration processes and achieve applicant compliance with Council standards, fees and charges, consent conditions and relevant legislation and regulations, minimising the proponent’s impact on other asset users and asset life-cycles. You will manage the timely implementation of Council initiatives including Road Naming and Alcohol Free Zones in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. You will assist the Development Engineering section, as required, in monitoring developer compliance with conditions of consent relating to public infrastructure.

You work and activities will consistently meet targets and commitments in individual or team work or performance plans and Council’s Operational and Strategic Plans. You will facilitate partnerships and collaboration across Council and help solve problems and develop solutions.

Remuneration

$77,450.88 - $99,637.72 + Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

1. Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline.

2. Comprehensive experience in the successful management of 3rd party access to, impact on and interface with, municipal infrastructure.

3. Working knowledge of the Roads Act, Council’s powers and duties as a Roads Authority, and other agency and public utility legislation and procedures relating to access to road reserves and public lands.

4. Knowledge and understanding of road and infrastructure technical specifications and standards.
