The Role
As the Government Special Access Program Security Officer (GSSO), you will work with a dedicated and motivated team to ensure both the physical and information security posture of multiple military units is maintained.
Using dedicated systems, processes and procedures, you will be responsible for the security of some of Australia’s most advanced aircraft in the Royal Australian Air Force inventory.
The crew will rely on your secure facility to plan, prepare and execute their missions. Your role will have key outputs to ensure that the various systems and facilities remain accredited, secure and fit for purpose.

Number 81 Wing is responsible for the command and control of Australia's fleet of F-35A Lightning aircraft to ensure they remain a potent and capable air combat force.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a collaborator who will work alongside a highly motivated team to ensure the best outcome for facility and information systems security which, when maintained, will facilitate the conduct of routine and operational flying missions.
You will be working in a primarily uniformed workforce and across all levels of the organisation from the Commander to the aviators.
You should be able to work with limited guidance, interpret high level policy and advice and ensure that procedures are followed across the organisation to maintain the integrity of information systems.
