The Access Group Recruitment are the go-to agency for our clients and payroll professionals looking for contract or permanent positions.
We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Officer in a stand alone capacity to manage the payroll of approx. 370 employees.
On a daily basis your role will involve:
- Process weekly payroll accurately, ensuring compliance with payroll awards. Using Micropay Access as payroll system and Mitrefinch / One Advanced as TMS. 370 employees.
- Manage payroll taxes, superannuation contributions, and ensure all payroll-related obligations are met during month-end and year-end processes.
- End-to-end processing and maintenance of the weekly payroll and ensure all data is accurate and paid in a timely manner.
- Process payroll EOM including calculation of payroll tax, submission of superannuation payments, child support payments.
- Process payroll EOFY including reporting and uploading of PAYG payment summaries.
- Maintain employee Masterfile by updating employee information for new hires, termination, transfer, and changes in employee pay details.
- Process, calculate, and manage payroll adjustments, terminations, leave reconciliations, parental leave payments, and bonus/commission payments
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations and awards.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
Skills and experience:
- Solid MicrOpay experience
- High level of attention to detail & ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Up to $110k plus Super, dependent on experience
