SalaryUp to $ 38 per hour Super Casual (Potential to go Perm) (Possible extension) Full-time Hours Per Week: 38 Location: Hadfield - Council Start this December 2023 ABOUT THE ROLE: General road Maintenance and patching. Repair and install various road signs, street furniture, fences, guardrails, and other assets as required. Drive and operate trucks up to 22400 GVM which includes towing of various items i.e., trailers and compressors. Drive and operate ride-on rollers with compact road-making materials. Carry out daily checks of all vehicles and equipment in their care to ensure safe and correct operation. Report any mechanical faults to the vehicles or equipment to your immediate supervisor, Works Officer, or Unit Manager. Assist in all tasks including labouring as required. Assist in the erection and maintenance of roadwork signs. Operate various small plants as required i.e., concrete saws, vibrating plates, etc. TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Experience in the operation of asphalt and concrete-cutting machines Experience in the operation of smooth drums and other rollers used in Road Maintenance and Construction Current Victorian Drivers Licence At least minimum Heavy Rigid Truck Licence endorsement *Please note this role is not open to international candidates, only those who reside and have full work rights in Australia.
