About the Role:Are you passionate about maintaining our local roads and infrastructure? Join our team at the City of Greater Dandenong as a
Road Maintenance Worker and/or Labourer/Operator. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our community's roads and drains are safe and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform maintenance activities on the Council's Civil Infrastructure, focusing on Roads and Drains.
- Ensure all work complies with safe work practices and Council's policies and procedures.
- Operate specialised plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Undertake labouring duties as required.
- Maintain records and provide information as needed.
- Promote a positive image of the Council through high standards of personal presentation and service delivery.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to other team members.
- Undertake Emergency Management duties as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and adapt to organizational changes.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve team and corporate objectives.
Skills Required:- Current Victorian HR Drivers Licence and relevant plant competency certificate.
- Proficient in operating Roads & Drains plant and equipment safely.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work diligently and enthusiastically.
- Possession of Traffic Control and Traffic Management Certificates.
