Job description

Dredge Robotics is an unrivalled global robotics cleaning solutions provider with key clients across mining, government, industrial, manufacturing, processing and wastewater industries, all based here in Western Australia.
With our globally unique designs, our dredging robots rapidly and thoroughly clean water assets while they remain online – saving our clients and customers significant amounts of money through minimising downtime and logistics.
The Role
We are looking to expand our team with operators who are eager for change, training, and career growth. This opportunity is not just a job; it's a career pathway that can offer progression into technical roles, supervisory positions, coordination, project management and business development. 

This role is multifaceted, with elements of a plant operator and dewatering technician. The position is suited for individuals who possess, or would like to develop, a broad set of skills including experience in mining, plant operation, dewatering and water treatment, and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. The base work roster offers excellent work-life balance with a two week on, two week off schedule - with opportunities for additional work for those that are keen. Employees will have the chance to work across various sites, states, and industries, contributing to a rich and diverse work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

This diverse role includes but is not limited to:

  • Equipment Operation: Vehicle loading cranes, HR trucks, trailers, and electrical equipment including CCTV, flowmeters, water treatment rigs
  • General Site Setup: Layout of pumps and pipes and other equipment, 
  • ROV Operation: Piloting of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
  • Maintenance: Basic maintenance on all equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Methodical problem solving in remote areas 
  • General Onsite Support: Various related duties as requested.

Our rosters are typically on a 2:2 basis, working 12-hour days. We pay all hours worked, including lunchbreaks, with superannuation paid on all hours. There is also an opportunity to work additional hours on your time off, if interested. 
About You
You’ve got a solid background in a heavy industry environment with a high degree of electrical or mechanical aptitude and thrive when presented with a problem to troubleshoot.
Technology doesn’t scare you and it’s a bonus if you have a sound working knowledge of sat-phones, Go-Pros and generators!

About you

  • Passionate about technology development, continuous improvement, customer service
  • Hands-on approach to problem-solving and maintenance.
  • Skills in operating and maintaining various types of machinery
  • The ability to adapt to different tasks and support the team in a dynamic work environment

You’ll also need:

  • HR licence, or the ability to obtain one before commencing
  • Dogging ticket
  • Working at Heights
  • VLC, highly regarded
  • Forklift ticket 
  • Confined Space
  • Current police check
  • Current First Aid Certificate

If you don’t hold the above, you must be prepared to obtain them prior to your first day on the job.
