Level 3 technician will play an integral part in leading daily project activities and importantly, who bring a confident and safety focused approach. Additional skills in rigging, lifting and lowering systems, painting mentoring and supervising the work of level 1 and level 2 technicians.
The role will involve abseiling on buildings or structures to perform painting and repair works.
Applicants must have:
Rope access Level 3 IRATA more than a year.
Certificate III in painting and decoration
Construction industry White Card
First AID & CPR
Confined space certificate
Sayfa certificates
- Introduction to fall arrest systems course
- Fall arrest anchors installation
- Rung ladder installation (Aust standards course)
- Static line installation course
- Walkway and guardrail systems course
Experience in performing Rope Access activities safety, lifting and lowering systems, riggings.
Australian Driver’s licence
Victorian working with children if needed
Own abseiling kit
A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
Experience in commercial and industrial painting 2 years plus
Physically fit and capable to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment, bending, standing, hanging or climbing.
Apply paint and varnishes to decorate by using different brushes, rollers and spray paint.
Police check.
Australian citizen or permanent resident based in Melbourne only.
Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with the team.
Duties will include:
Communicate with clients and others trades.
Capable of managing, planning daily jobs and riggings plans
Ability to work timelines.
Apply all kind of paint like acrylic, oil-based paint, weather shield paint, water based and glossy paints.
Secure the painting area from any damage by laying dropsheets, plastic sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering and applying masking tape around the windows, frames and glass.
Washing, scraping, sanding and/or smoothing exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing or applying other related materials.
Repairing, maintaining and filling holes or cracks on all sorts or external surfaces as render, caulking, cement sheet, concrete prior to paint.
Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs, based on surface measurements and/or work orders
Mix paints and match colours accurately.
Conduct Rope Access work, ensuring projects run smoothly and according to scope.
Rope access equipment fitting and pre-use check.
The installation of a range of height safety products including: Access platforms, ladders systems, anchor points, walkways and handrails on new constructions sites and retrofit buildings to complete painting jobs.
Follow MAX ACCESS procedures method statements and associated risk assessments and associated risk assessments
Leading, understand, participate and contribute to daily pre-starts, audit, toolbox, meeting (SWMS and rescue plans) initiatives/training as required.
Comply with all relevant legislation, guidelines, standards, and safe work practice.
Make rigging, work plans and other operations with the team.
IT/computer proficient desired qualifications to present reports.
