RPAS Standards SME & Instructor

Aviation Australia is looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an RPAS Standards SME and Instructor on a permanent, full-time basis.  Reporting to the RPAS People and Operations Manager, you will be responsible for instructing, developing courseware, course procedures and delivery standards for the compliant delivery of our RPAS courses and associated courses.  You will require a deep understanding of aviation regulations and be driven to promote a culture of compliance and excellence. The successful candidate will be required to travel domestically on occasions and more during peak assessment periods (September - November). 

Is this role for you?

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

• A CASA Remote Pilot Licence.
• A current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
• CASA Part 61 Instructor Rating.
• Hold or an ability to hold a Blue Card.
• A Commercial Pilot Licence with operational/instruction experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and training skills, with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
• Effective facilitation skills for a range of learning styles.
• Intermediate computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office suite of applications and the ability to become an effective user of new computer systems.
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility in regards to days and hours of work.  The role will require the applicant to travel interstate for short periods of time to deliver training.
