Reporting to the RTO Training Manager, an opportunity has arisen within Boral’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for a Training Administration Officer to be responsible for providing critical administrative support for RTO and Operations learning function.

As an enterprise RTO, the Boral RTO’s main function is to enhance the capacity and capability of Boral’s workforce through structured, nationally recognised and job ready training and assessment.

This important role is responsible for maintaining highly efficient administrative processes to ensure quality customer experiences for both internal customers and the efficient operations of the Training teams’ functions.

Your day will involve:

  • Maintain RTO Student Management System (SMS) including regular and ad-hoc reporting for operational, regulatory, and contractual requirements
  • Process documentation for enrolment, progression, and completion to ensure accurate and timely data is entered on the SMS
  • Ensure data reported is accurate and consistent with actual training delivery and supported by evidence of participation
  • Respond to business requests for details of employee/s participation in training as required.
  • Maintain traineeship and apprenticeship documentation including training contracts and other formal correspondence.
  • Support the submission of incentive and subsidy claims and subsidies
  • Support compliance activities including data provision and audit requirements.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have an RTO/Learning background and an understanding of the vocational education and training sector.  You will be an efficient coordinator with a natural customer service orientation, tech savvy, and high levels of attention to detail and accuracy.

You will also have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Qualifications in business or extensive experience to demonstrate knowledge and skills
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment or willingness to complete
  • Experience working with Student Management Systems (SMS), preferably within a registered training organisation (RTO) OR the capacity to quickly develop a comprehensive knowledge of the SMS and to provide subject matter advice
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with high-level Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, problem solve and ask questions when needing further clarification.

This is a varied role which will allow the successful candidate to influence and be an active contributor to process development, supporting the business to become a leading RTO.
