ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A fantastic opportunity within the RTO industry has become available. Here at Link Resources KRS, we strive to be the provider of choice by delivering high quality, professional and compliant training to the Heavy Industry whilst fostering a client focused culture. 

We are looking for a suitably experienced Trainers/Assessors to service the Tasmania region in a 12-month fixed-term capacity (with the potential for ongoing work). As part of being a Trainer/Assessor, we may require you from time to time to travel to regional or remote locations. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high quality training and assessment services to our students and clients
  • Demonstrating your expert industry knowledge and experience to engage students, using contemporary learning techniques 
  • Providing flexible delivery, adapting resources to meet the individual needs and learning goals of our students and clients
  • Undertaking accurate assessment and record keeping ensuring compliance remains consistent
  • Working collaboratively with other colleagues and internal or external stakeholders 

Courses to be delivered include:

  • Heavy industry preparations including confined space, permits, breathing apparatus and gas testing
  • Rescue eg. Working at Heights & Confined Space
  • High risk work licences
  • Plant eg. Excavator, skid steer, tractor, front end loader and more
  • Fire training (warden, chief warden and fire extinguisher)

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110 + upgrades)
  • Relevant qualifications, experience and industry currency in the units which are being delivered/assessed
  • Strong knowledge of the VET Sector and the National Standards for RTOs
  • Hold a valid Driver’s Licence and Industry Licences 
  • Experience in delivering courses in a classroom and/or out in industry
  • Strong organisational, communications and interpersonal skills
