The opportunity:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced contract Trainer and Assessor to deliver one or several of the following qualifications:
- HLT33021 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
- HLT47715 Certificate IV in Medical Practice Assisting, including:
Delivering face-to-face clinical workshops covering:
- HLTCAR001 Perform Electrocardiography (ECG)
- HLTHPS001 Take Clinical Measurements
- HLTHPS002 Support Health Professional in the Delivery of Care
- HLTAAP002 Confirm Physical Health Status
- HLTINF002 Process Reusable Medical Devices and Equipment
and also First Aid workshops:
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid
- HLTAID016 Manage First Aid Services and Resources
Location is flexible within New South Wales, with the ability to work from home/fully remote.
Travel may be required on occasion to deliver in-person training.
The trainer will be required to assess online assessment submissions, deliver face-to-face clinical and/or first aid workshops, and provide some student assistance related to course work such as participating in role-plays. The role may also include delivering online webinars relating to learning content or assessments.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver face to face and online sessions to cover knowledge requirements and practical skills assessment.
- Conduct assessment in accordance with the principles of assessment using the assessment tools provided by UNE Partnerships
- Conduct RPL in accordance with the principles of assessment, the rules of evidence and the Recognition Policy.
- Address queries from students and clients regarding the training product delivered or any related activity.
Requirements:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent/higher qualification in adult education).
- Diploma or higher-level qualifications specific to course being delivered.
- Demonstrable current industry experience working in an Allied Health setting.
- Demonstrated experience in delivery and assessment of VET programs to individuals and groups.
- Competency in using Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle) and video conferencing or virtual classroom systems (such as Zoom).
- Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and engagement strategies to support online learners.
Desirable:
- Current AHPRA registration.
