About this Role
The Safe System and Performance Lead works closely with the Quality leadership team, and is responsible for delivering and promoting a pro-active and integrated approach to risk management, and compliance with legislation throughout Grampians Health (GH).
The Safe Systems and Performance Lead works with team members in the work group, and oversees the development and implementation of risk reduction and mitigation strategies and improvements, enabling an ‘always safe’ culture.
The Lead role provides leadership in relation to safety processes to inform improvement including; incident reporting and management, clinical investigation, and legislative compliance. The role will provide expert guidance in systems thinking, operational excellence, change management, sustainability, data and analytics, governance and quality.
The Safe Systems and Performance Lead works closely with the GH Director of Quality and Assistant Director Safe Systems and Performance to develop and implement Systems and processes for safe, effective person-centred connected care.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive and effective risk management framework, consistent with relevant regulatory requirements; the periodic organisational review of the Risk Management Framework; and the annual review of Risk Management plans
- Lead risk management processes relating to enterprise risk (clinical and corporate)
- Actively promote, manage and support the use of the GH Risk Register
- Ensure quality, integrated incident management Systems and processes, which are consistent with legislation, quality and safety, and governance frameworks and embedded
