Remuneration: OPS4 ($75,430 - $79,070 p.a. + 11% Super)Role DetailsThe Department for Child Protection is seeking a Kinship Care Worker to join the Riverland office in Berri on a part-time ongoing basis.The role is responsible for:
- Providing brief interventions as required and evaluating effectiveness of services provided
- Identifying constraints/barriers to family effectiveness, particular needs and interests in relation to health, well-being and parenting as well as resources to assist the family
- Supporting, training and educating Kinship Carers in practical day to day care
- Establishing interpersonal relationships that will enable effective communication and identifying and maintaining links with relevant services.

About the BusinessThe Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia. The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected.The RegionBerri is a town in the Riverland region of South Australia located on the banks of the Murray River and has a population of just over 4,000 people.The Berri office currently have 30 people employed and is the only office in the Riverland area.
