DT Infrastructure is part of the Gamuda Group of Companies, following the acquisition in May 2023 of Downer EDI's Australian transport projects business. DT Infrastructure brings together unique synergies between global infrastructure and property giant Gamuda and local expertise in transport and infrastructure projects across metropolitan and regional Australia.
We are currently hiring Safety Advisors with experience in Civil/Rail construction projects. With recent project announcements coupled with current projects, we have opportunities available for metro-Perth or FIFO work.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate incidents and monitor implementation of corrective actions
- Monitor compliance with Safety and also Environment policy, procedures and legislative requirements
- Conduct regular inspections and audits
- Conduct or facilitate Safety educational programs
- Assist with reporting requirements as required
- Ensure a current understanding of all relevant legislation is maintained at all times
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a safety culture
- Work with staff, workers and subcontractors in the processes, skills, attitudes and behaviours required to foster a positive safety culture
- Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures
Experience, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of PTA Safe Working Rules advantageous
- 3 - 5 years in a Safety role in a construction environment
- Knowledge of safety Management System techniques and tools
- Experience in qualitative risk assessment and development and monitoring of risk controls
- Skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews
- Experience in delivering training in high risk activities such as working at heights, confined space and rescue training
- Experience in developing, analysing and reporting on complex project performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance
- Knowledge of Safety legislation and statutes and ability to interpret any applicable statutes or legislation relevant to Project
- Skill and experience using Corporate Management Systems & Rehabilitation
- Perth based with relevant Australian work rights
