Role Details:
Reporting to the Coordinator: Safety and Training, you will be responsible for provision of the Mining Department Safety management systems and training functions.
This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:
Promote and maintain a high level of compliance to health, safety and environmental policies and programs
Facilitate and participate in incident investigations, analyse findings and make recommendations as required
Assist and contribute with hazard identification, risk assessment and critical risk management processes
Review and develop site specific management plans, procedures and standards
Provide input to the Department Learning Management System (Success Factors and Intuition) and accurately maintain training records.
Ensure Training Needs Analysis is current for all Mining functions and roles
Assist with the implementation of a National Competency based training and assessment program for operational personnel, including the provision for regular re-assessment and evaluation
Ensure area specific induction training material is up to date and delivered to required personnel and visitors
Conduct audits and inspections within Mining ensuring compliance with Site and Department standards
About you:
Certificate IV in OHS
Certificate IV Assessment and Workplace Training
Exposure to ICAM’s and Risk Assessment
Demonstrated experience in Safety & Training management programs e.g InControl, Intuition and Success Factors.
Proven experience in developing site-specific management plans and procedures.
Experience in an underground mining environment & mining equipment essential
Demonstrated understanding & application of relevant legislation.
Advanced level in Microsoft Office applications and document construction & review processes
