Responsibilities:
- Manage the set-up of Safety Standards and prepare safety reports and relevant submissions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of safety, management systems and associated records.
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement of the safety and other relevant management systems
- Lead the identification and management of safety risks, and employee competency risks and manage incident response, investigations, and remediation for safety issues.
- Liaise with the Training Team to assist with the maintenance of competency records and framework
- Undertake efficient data analysis and reporting to support timely monitoring of legislative, regulatory and governance compliance, and performance results.
- Support compliance through audits against applicable legislation, management standards and rail transport operator compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant WHS discipline
- Proven experience working on rail projects around NSW
- Current Australian Driving licence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
