Blue Sky Community Services are seeking to employ a professional and values-aligned person to join our supportive and friendly team and play a key role in ensuring the highest standard of safety and wellbeing for our organisation employees and participants. This newly created part time position is for 30 hours over 5 days per week and can be based at any of our Coffs Harbour, Nambucca Heads, Kempsey or Port Macquarie offices.

About the Role
Safety Coordinator:
- Maintains up to date knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, ensuring our policies, processes and practices are compliant and meet legislative requirements and industry best practice.
- Monitors WHS in the workplace including hazards, risks and incidents, and manages risk assessments using appropriate control measures.
- Liaises with multiple stakeholders, including managers and staff members.
- Manages and chairs the Work Health and Safety Committee and supports WHS champions in achieving their responsibilities.
- Manages compliance with all WHS registers and records, WHS equipment, emergency response practices, and monitors/provides training in response to identified needs.
