The program defines the behavioural framework and tools that will equip leaders and supervisors with the awareness and skills to build and maintain a working environment where people are physically and psychologically safe so everyone goes home safety, every shift.
Job Description
Your role as a Safety Leadership Coach will be critical to the success of the culture transformation we are undertaking. As a change agent, workplace coach and facilitator for Safety Leadership Practices at Grosvenor Mine, you will provide peer learning support to operational supervisors and leaders to help them role model and embed constructive Safety Leadership behaviours. It is your passion and guidance, and a desire to empower our supervisors to lead a safe and productive workforce, that will help ensure Safety Leadership Practices becomes an enduring and successful culture change program.
Key accountabilities include:
- Contribute to the planning and resourcing required for effective implementation of a safety culture transformation program
- Facilitate predesigned, interactive Safety Leadership Practices learning packages, as a means of uplifting leader awareness, skills and capability in Safety Leadership
- Conduct workplace observations, interactions and coaching conversations with line leaders
- Champion engagement, integration and embedding plans and activities
- Contribute to monitoring and measurement of progress and effectiveness of SLP implementation and safety culture maturity
- Drive the development of SLP processes to ensure alignment with Anglo American Group strategies
- Contribute to a purpose-led, high-performing culture within the site safety function that is aligned with the company values, is inclusive and promotes diversity
