- Lead and manage the implementation of the site health, safety, and environment management plan.
- Ensure all site activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory, corporate, and site requirements.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager to develop and maintain a positive HSE culture on site.
- Coordinate and oversee the activities of technical and junior resources.
- Liaise with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) and Office of Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) as required.
- Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance through proactive measures and initiatives.
- Act as the Principal Contractor and ensure comprehensive understanding of associated responsibilities.
- Foster collaborative relationships with team members, stakeholders, contractors, and regulators.
- Demonstrate flexibility to travel and work in intense construction environments as required.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a HSE professional working in industry including experience working with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) and Office of Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC).
- Degree qualification or relevant industry experience in a related field; or an appropriate qualification with relevant construction industry and high-risk environment experience.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities that come with being the Principal Contractor

- Collaborative approach with demonstrated capacity to influence positive outcomes with team members, stakeholders, contractors and regulators.
- Demonstrated capacity to work both autonomously and within the team environment; use initiative; solve problems through analytical thinking; & make decisions within an intense construction environment.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
