Bauer Foundations is a market leader in piling and ground engineering solutions with a national footprint and continued growth. We are seeking a professional and experienced Safety Officer to join our dedicated team in Brisbane.
At Bauer you will be working in small teams with other top-level experienced staff.
About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team. The Safety Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections, and providing safety training to employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Provide safety training to employees on topics such as proper lifting techniques, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment usage
- Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences
- Managing all relevant documentation associated with the HSEQ division including the setup of project specific folders.
- Maintain safety records and documentation
- Collating monthly reports, including statistical analysis where required
About you:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role
- Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to focus on multiple tasks all at once.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS-Office package with intermediate to advanced MS excel skills.
- Valid driver’s licence
