We are currently seeking a Risk & Safety Engineer, reporting directly to the Risk & Safety Engineering Discipline Manager to join our Risk & Safety team based in Perth, Australia. About the Job As a Risk & Safety Engineer at Technip Energies Australia, you will have an opportunity to work on both onshore and offshore projects.
You may be involved with Prelude FLNG brownfields engineering and/or with challenging new hydrogen and ammonia developments. You will be responsible for: Undertake role of a Safety & Risk Engineer to deliver the project scope of work as defined by projects / tenders / studies. Demonstrate and apply good engineering knowledge.
Originate safety engineering deliverables to meet project, statutory and Technip Energies Group requirements and to meet project schedule. Be efficient and apply fit-for-purpose principles in the delivery of solutions and deliverables. Pro-actively interface with other engineering disciplines during project execution.
Attend meetings with clients, suppliers and consultants to assist on technical issues. Actively participate in safety workshops (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA, HAZID, Design reviews). Build positive work relationships within Technip Energies and externally.
Learn and use knowledge of Technip Energies group’s technologies and products relevant to the discipline. About You We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements: University Degree in Engineering relevant to the discipline from a reputable institution as recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia, or international equivalent (IMechE, IChemE); Valid certificates from a reputable training provider in functional safety and/or hazardous area classification training (preferred); Minimum of 2 years’ experience in risk &safety engineering; Robust experience working within the oil and gas and chemical industries; Prior experience of multidiscipline teamwork; Prior experience of preparing a wide range of technical deliverables including calculations, simulations, drawings, and reports.
