If you love being out in the field opening gates and supporting our primary producers in a meaningful and sustainable way, Norco AgriSolutions is now seeking you as a results-driven Sales Agronomist or Animal Health Specialist to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in helping farmers maximise their on-farm productivity.

Within the Norco family, AgriSolutions was formed to service our dairy farmers originally in the Byron Bay hinterland. Today our offerings are diverse and varied through the provision of products and services delivered by our amazing subject matter experts spread across our 28 retail rural stores, our agronomy and animal nutrition field teams, and our commodities grain trading arm who support primary industry.

About the role:

As a Sales Agronomist or Animal Health Specialist, you will engage farmers as their key account specialist, providing tailored solutions and leveraging innovative products enhancing Animal Health outcomes and/or contributing to the growth of sustainable agriculture.

The role involves understanding client needs, offering technical support, and collaborating with our Animal Health and field sales team. With a bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Animal Health or related fields and proven sales experience, you'll excel in this dynamic role.

  • Establish a client-centric approach providing personalised solutions and positioning yourself as a trusted and knowledgeable advisor to our valued clients.
  • Demonstrate product expertise staying abreast of products, technologies and services.
  • Articulate the benefits of our offerings, showcasing how they enhance and support farm profitability and sustainability.
  • Identify and seek out new business.
  • Offer a high level of technical support and collaborative solutions leveraging the technical insights, knowledge and experience of the wider field sales team to provide the best solutions for the client.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Animal Health, Agriculture or related tertiary qualifications in a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of agronomy practices, crop management, and precision agriculture or Animal Health and Nutrition.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with farmers.
  • Familiarity with the latest agricultural and Animal Health products, technologies, and services, with the ability to articulate their features and benefits.
  • Ability to analyse complex agronomic or Animal Health challenges and provide innovative, practical solutions.
  • Capable of developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive business growth.
  • Eagerness to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and agronomic advancements.
