WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS – Reporting to the Vice President, Sales – APAC, this role is responsible for assisting the Regent Seven Seas Cruises Sales Team in servicing Travel Trade and Consumer clients to achieve sales targets. This role will primarily focus on supporting our New Zealand travel partners and our New Zealand Business Development Manager. Specific responsibilities include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Respond to general sales enquiries and follow up on sales referrals, identifying client needs and following up on all client requests. Passing details onto appropriate contacts.
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to explain and sell services and facilities to clients.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the sales office and coordinate and assist with the preparation of sales trips and sales events.
  • Work closely with Business Development Managers to ensure targets are met and relationships with Travel Trade are optimized.
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals and contracts as required.
  • Communicate market promotions and offers to travel partners, as well as reporting their business results 
  • Processing of Agency Registrations, brochure distribution, collateral preparation (pricing and creation), Expo attendance and participation, and Event coordination (launch events, ship visits, expos, familiarization trips etc)
  • Expenses and Invoice coordination

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - We are on the lookout for highly motivated and commercially minded sales professionals, who have the capacity to represent the luxury cruise market with aplomb and have a genuine passion for our industry. We are interested in speaking to individuals who possess the following:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is advantageous, yet not essential 
  • Travel and Tourism Industry experience (desirable)
  • Flexibility in terms of availability – this role will require out of hours work such as evenings, weekends and travel
  • Professional and polished communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Strong computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite, Tableau and Concur (desired)
  • Superior time management skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team (team-centric attitude is a must!)
  • Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to successfully and efficiently multi-task 
  • A disciplined and highly motivated mindset, coupled with unbeatable enthusiasm
