The role and what we are looking for

The Sales Insights Specialist is responsible for supporting on key initiatives that drive sales spend and engagement between our Members and Suppliers. This role would involve extensive support for campaigns which aim to retain and acquire Member spend to meet strategic objectives and budgets. The role also includes the maintenance and ownership of data captured by our Member facing teams at Capricorn. This role will work closely with marketing, sales operations and sales managers to ensure campaigns and initiatives are aligned with the sales, supply and marketing strategies. To ensure the success of campaigns are measured effectively, a level of data analytical skills will be required. The role involves extensive stakeholder engagement, so if you have experience in this area, we would love to hear from you.

Some of your key responsibilities will include

  • Support the design and launch of campaigns to retain and acquire Member spend on their Capricorn trade account.
  • Produce and maintain reporting on campaign activity and support our stakeholders in their use of this reporting.
  • Support and reporting on data captured via our Member Engagement Tool and Supplier Engagement Tool, by other teams at Capricorn.
  • Develop and manage governance around the data entered within Member facing interactions, to ensure ongoing data integrity.
  • Produce insights and reporting that provide the business with a deeper understanding of Member performance.
  • Using the data captured by campaigns and other Member facing interactions, proactively seek opportunities to improve the Capricorn member experience.
  • Provide data and analysis support on a wide range of initiatives as required by the Head of Product.
  • Identify and execute on process improvements in the Automotive division.
  • Effectively communicate and manage expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  • Support the delivery of audits and risk mitigation in accordance with approved baselines (scope, time, cost and quality).
  • Provide regular and effective reporting on any variances to tasks and milestones.
  • Support on strategic initiatives for other teams at Capricorn, including the Marketing and Member Experience teams.

What will you bring?

  • Intermediate skill in the use of MS Office suite of products is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence in managing expectations.
  • SQL programming skills are strongly desired for this role.
  • Experience with Tableau is desired.
  • Creativity and design skills are highly valued in this role.
  • Time management skills are to effectively plan, work under pressure and prioritise tasks to ensure delivery within set deadlines.

Experience

  • Experience with campaign management and strategy (Desirable).
  • Prior experience or exposure to analytics (Preferred).

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Analytics, or similar.

NOTE: This position is to cover a period of parental leave and is a fixed-term contract for eight months, with a possibility of extension.
