Located 11km from the Townsville CBD, Sun Metals is one of the most technologically advanced zinc refineries in the world, producing Special High Grade Zinc metal, Zinc Alloy metal and by-products of Sulfuric Acid, Copper, Cadmium, and Zinc Ferrite. Our process involves Roasting, Leaching, Purification, Electrolysis and Casting with sales to both domestic and international markets.

About the position
Reporting to the Sales and Logistics Manager, this position is ideally suited to a person who possesses good attention to detail with strong interpersonal and time management skills.
This is a part time role with the possibility of leading to full time.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide administrative support for the purchase of import and domestic zinc concentrate product;
- Create shipping documents for export sales including but not limited to packing lists;
- Generate sales invoices for both domestic and export customers;
- Collate data related to the status and volume of products, for reporting to management;
- Assisting team with additional tasks as required.
About you
Ideally, you will either have a relevant tertiary qualification and experience in the commodities market and/or distribution principles; or strong administration focus and desire to start a career in sales and logistics.
You will have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ideally, you will have previous experience in preparing import/export documentation and some knowledge of materials handling.
You have a basic understanding of business processes such as invoice handling and cash flow management. Your high level of proficiency in Excel and Word is essential and previous experience with JD Edwards or ERP is desirable.
As a member of a small, functional team, you will have good interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn quickly so that you can provide a high level of support.
We are looking for someone with strong negotiating skills, the ability to work independently and are proficient with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word.
