Queensland Computers is a fast-growing IT Provider with a strong presence throughout regional QLD. We are a young, active and ambitious team that delivers professional procurement services for our Education & Government customer base, and Managed Print & IT Services for Small Business.

About the role 

Due to substantial growth, we are opening our doors to welcome a new team member. This will be an important role in our company, to lead our sales team and develop strategic sales plans. 

The key to the success of this role will be establishing partnerships and fostering collaboration with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. This collaborative approach is vital in ensuring a consistently high standard of performance to support businesses and communities, while also creating technology solutions that enables growth and empowers small business to reach their visions. 

The role is supported by our newly formed marketing team and our experienced technical team, and you’ll be working with our external consultants and vendors to grow your industry skills and product knowledge. 

 

Responsibilities

Collaboration with internal teams

  • Leadership skills and a team player as you will be working closely with the Sales Support/Onboarding Team as well as liaising with the Tech Team as needed.
  • Patience and understanding with regards to the challenges of being part of a small and growing business.

Manage documentation

  • Oversee accurate and up-to-date documentation of customer contact details, processes, procedures and progress. 
  • Preparation of high-quality tenders and submissions.

Continuous improvement

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with team members.
  • Ensure client retention, development and repeat business.
  • Lead and drive a team of Business Development Managers and Account Managers to achieve targets and KPIs.
  • Ensure performance indicators, standards and contractual, legislative and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Continually undertake comprehensive and strategic analysis of the marketplace.

About you

You will be a driven sales leader with a customer centric mindset and the proven acumen to build and implement a sales strategy, lead a team and exceed targets that contribute to the growth of our Managed Service and Managed Print divisions. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated success in consultative and solutions-based sales.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic long sale cycle account acquisition.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to influence outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build business through targeted and effective marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills including the ability to motivate team members to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong IT and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning and financial system acumen.
  • Experience within the IT industry highly regarded.
