About the Role

You will oversee the daily operations of our newly created Account Executive (AEs) & Sales Development Representative (SDR) team, ensuring success in achieving our monthly and quarterly OKR goals. You will be coaching, training, managing and leading front-line sales reps who work primarily on the phones to sign Restaurant merchants onto the DoorDash platform. You will lead the team to continuous high performance, both in pipeline generation (SDRs) to support our field sales team and end-to-end sales (AEs). You will have a high focus on development, growth and training to build the skills needed with the goal of building our talent bench for our Field Sales team. This role will be hybrid, with some time in office.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Provide overall sales direction to the team.
  • Manage a team of AE's & SDRs, growing them from Inside Sales reps to potential future Outside Sales reps.
  • Develop entry-level sales reps by teaching a hybrid of both inside and outside sales skills
  • Manage-up to the company leadership team about strategy and execution plan.
  • Exercise wide latitude in determining goals and approaches to business-critical assignments.
  • Identify and analyse issues that must be addressed and convene the appropriate parties to select an optimal resolution path.
  • Create an operational infrastructure enabling the team to operate at its best, even in your absence.
  • Work with our Pre-Sales core leadership team and serve as a liaison between Inside Sales and Outside Sales.

  • You are an expert at both Inside and Outside sales, able to teach and coach entry-level reps and progress them along the career path
  • You have experience leading people as a manager or above and are patient and passionate about serving others and assisting in their development.
  • You're able to navigate sales tools (e.g. SFDC, Outreach, Chorus, GSuite) easily.
  • You have formed strong working relationships with peers, managers, and colleagues at all levels.
  • You are a highly-skilled communicator, culturally aware, and create a working environment of trust and collaboration.
  • You are able to travel domestically
