An award-winning and highly established volume home building company, due to strong growth into 2024 and beyond are now looking to hire an experienced Sales Manager to join their growing senior management team.
The Role:
The Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales team whilst having a strong focus on business development and working closely with land developers and their sales teams.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director of the business, the ideal candidate responsibilities will include:
- Achieving sales targets, approximate 100 - 150 sales per annum (Single-detached dwellings, greenfield & knockdown re-build)
- Operate at both the strategic and operational level to develop and implement sales strategies
- Coaching & developing the sales team to support the companies growth in the industry within identified markets (Up to 8 x display centres/8 sales consultants and associates)
- Assist in establishing an ‘internal sales’ position & strategy
- Manage and motivate a talented sales team and assist in the training of support staff
- Achieve the monthly/annual budgets for sales & supporting activities;
- Complete reporting as per business requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with land developers and their sales teams
- Generate new business opportunities for the company
- Create opportunities for future Display Home sites
- Source Exclusive land holds for the sales team to package on
- Leveraging existing networks and business relationships
- Direct sales and channel/partner management
- Representing the company at industry events
- Extensive experience in a senior Sales Management position, experience in the volume housing industry is desirable but not essential
- Experience in Managing a multi-faceted office that includes team members from a number of departments
- Experience in collaborating with other internal departments to achieve timely results
- A professional and innovative approach to creating new sales opportunities
- A proven track record in people management and leading and mentoring
- Ability to implement continuous improvement within the identified markets
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Understand how to train and motivate staff and lead the team to achieve desired outcomes
